Is it a good way to but one or two servers into maintenance by excluding those from DNS zone? Or is there a better way? Does it take hours for the DNS change to affect and is it easy to to include server back to DNS zone?

    Hello,

This depends on what you are looking to achieve with your maintenance and the architecture of your application. Scalr's DNS zone management is making calls to add/remove the DNS records as you have them configured for Farm Roles, but DNS record propagation time will depend on the DNS server you are using and could take up to several hours to fully propagate. Are you already using Scalr DNS management with your own zones configured? What are you needing to achieve with your maintenance on these machines?

    Many thanks,
