How can I make sure I keep the EBS volume assigned to a farm role?

Hi there,
I have a redis farm role with one server, which uses an EBS volume for persistence. I want to change the instance type, but I'm not sure how to guarantee that it keeps the same EBS volume.
If I just terminate the current server and allow a new one to replace it, I believe scalr will disconnect the EBS volume from the old one and attach it to the new one, but is this 100% certain? And if it goes wrong, how could I get the original EBS volume reattached?
My question is, under what conditions can I rely on keeping that EBS volume?

    Hi Jo,

You should be able to specify that an additional Storage volume be Re-Used when an instance is replaced when configuring the volume via the Storage tab on the Farm Role. See attached screenshot. If there was a need to manually re-attach a volume to an instance, you should be able to perform that action from the Main Menu> AWS> EBS Volumes page. From that page you will be able to select and manually attach a volume to an instance. Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Many thanks,
