Listing scripts I can easly filter them based on scope (Scalr, Account, Environment) but I cannot find an option to choose the scope of a script when I save it, is there a way?
How can I share scripts between environments?
Thanks,
L

    Hi L,

There is not an option to select the scope of a newly created script, but rather the scope will match the scope that it is created at. Meaning, scripts created at the Scalr scope will be Scalr scope scripts, and scripts created at the Environment scope will be Environment scope scripts. You can Fork a script from a greater scope to create a new fork that is scoped at the lower scope, but you can not Fork a script from a lower scope at a greater scope. For additional details, take a look at our Wiki documentation on best practices for reusable scripts:

    https://scalr-wiki.atlassian.net/wiki/display/docs/Best+Practices%3...

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks Marc,
now I understand: to create an Account scope script I have to click "Manage Environments" and then the main menu Scripts. Creating a script this way, it will be an Account scoped script.
    Thank you again,
    best regards,
