Problem:

The Roxy server (info below) failed to complete it's snapshot and for a long time was frozen. After eventually recovering the system I noticed this in the server Scalr logs:

2018-09-18 20:23:04+00:00 - INFO - Synchronizing my configuration from Scalr
2018-09-18 20:23:08+00:00 - ERROR - 401 Unauthorized
2018-09-18 20:23:08+00:00 - ERROR - b'<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>\n<Response><Errors><Error><Code>AuthFailure</Code><Message>AWS was not able to validate the provided access credentials</Message></Error></Errors><RequestID>90adb540-3a2e-4d98-ab03-98ebdd898394</RequestID></Response>'

Server ID 4a44ba55-0b93-4cd8-8057-bd177ad4c7ae
Hostname ec2-54-228-214-42.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com
IP Address 54.228.214.42

Could you please check the instance for us? Thank you!

This probably means you need to synchronize your server time. AWS request signature is valid only several minutes.

    sudo ntpdate -s time.nist.gov

    me?

I'll save this for future fixers
