Can't launch micro instance

Hey guys, I'm trying to experiment with the micro instances on my staging cluster. Whenever I try to launch a server on a micro instance it doesn't get past the 'pending launch' phase. I had one like that for 45 minutes before I finally cancelled and tried again. Now I've had one pending for about 15 minutes and it still hasn't even showed up as an instance request in the (Amazon hosted) EC2 management console. It seems like micro instance requests are just not getting passed along to AWS.

Thanks,
Jeremy

OK, I just found this discussion that seems to indicate that existing Scalr roles will not work with the micro instances. I'm guessing that's at the root of my problem.

Any suggestions on how to proceed with micro instances?

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

t1.micro can be launched only on EBS based instances (roles). You can import custom EBS based role using this manual: http://wiki.scalr.net/How_to.../Import_a_non_Scalr_server

Or use one of our CentOS roles (they're EBS based).

    Igor
